Hammers boss under pressure to produce swift turnaround in form
West Ham attempt to move away from the Premier League relegation zone as they take on Newcastle tonight..
The Hammers make the trip in dire need of some momentum after a dreadful start to the season under Julen Lopetegui.
A big summer spend has yet to pay off and the Irons sit three points above the drop zone, after only three wins in their opening 11 League games.
Little about them inspired in the 0-0 draw with Everton before the international break and the pressure is certainly on amid reports Lopetegui’s future is already in doubt.
Newcastle had endured a frustrating start to the season themselves but have turned things around of late, winning their last three games across all competitions.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
Newcastle vs West Ham is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off time tonight, Monday 25 November, 2024.
St James’ Park in Newcastle will host.
TV channel: The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.
Live stream: Subscribers will be able to watch on a live stream via the Sky Go app.
Kieran Trippier could return for the hosts, while Callum Wilson has an outside chance of making his first appearance of the season.
Emil Krafth, however, has joined fellow defenders Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles on the sidelines following a broken collarbone. Dan Burn is suspended, meaning Lloyd Kelly is likely to come in alongside Fabian Schar in central defence.
West Ham will yet again be without summer signing, Niclas Fullkrug, as he continues to try and recover from a prolonged Achilles tendon injury.

Edson Alvarez will be free from suspension and Alphonse Areola has returned to training, but Mohammed Kudus remains unavailable after he was hit with an additional two-game ban following his red card against Tottenham last month.
At home, Newcastle are a formidable opponent and will fancy their chances against a Hammers side yet to get going this season.
