Newcastle United meet Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season friendly in South Korea on Sunday.
The club’s tour of the Far East continues in Seoul, as Eddie Howe’s side step up preparations for the Premier League season.
Howe will hope his side can increase the mood around the club, following a frustrating summer. His side have lost three consecutive pre-season games following defeats to Celtic, Arsenal and a K-League XI.
Newcastle have also missed out on several transfer targets, while leading scorer Alexander Isak is not with the squad as he pushes for an exit.
Eddie Howe is expected to return to a more recognisable XI against Tottenham, after leaving the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Dan Burn and Joelinton on the bench against the K-League XI.
Alexander Isak remains unavailable, with the Swedish striker currently training alone in Spain. Isak has expressed his interest in leaving amid an approach from Liverpool.
Seung-Soo Park produced a lively cameo on debut last time out and the 18-year-old will hope for more minutes in his home country. The winger is a new signing, arriving from Suwon Samsung Bluewings.
Newcastle predicted XI: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Hall; Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Murphy, Barnes, Osula.
Tottenham face Newcastle in a pre-season friendly in Seoul on Sunday 3rd August 2025. Kick-off is 12:00pm BST.
The game will not be televised in the UK.
Both sides are streaming the fixture via in-house channels. Spurs will broadcast the game on SPURSPLAY, where an annual subscription costs £45. The match will also be available pay-per-view on Newcastle’s NUFC TV channel.
