Newly promoted this season, Pisa had a very impressive showing in the very first weekend, holding Atalanta to a 1-1 draw. They know however that they need to strengthen even further to have any chance of staying in the division come the end of the season. Today news has come out courtesy TMW that Pisa have secured a deal for Brazilian wonderkid Lorran.
There will be a €500k loan fee for Flamengo, and an obligation to buy clause worth €4m plus a 50% sell-on clause for the Brazilian club who are also asking for a buyback clause. Lorran, 19 is an attacking midfielder with great vision and flair and an extremely high level of technical ability. If he adjusts well in Serie A, it won’t be long before Pisa can command a big fee for him.
In addition to the Brazilian, Pisa have also finalised a deal for Feyenoord winger Calvin Stengs. He too will arrive on loan with a €6m option to buy. These players will presumably play just behind the striker in the 3-4-2-1 formation that manager Alberto Gilardino seemingly prefers.
