Saturday 17 January - La Liga managers head the early betting

Jose Bordalas is the early 3/1 favourite to be the Next Permanent Crystal Palace Manager after current boss Oliver Glasner announced that he would be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the current season.

Glasner said in Friday's pre-match press conference that he informed the club's hierarchy in October of his intention to leave the club, citing that he wants a new challengs after guiding the Eagles to a memorable FA Cup final win last season.

Interestingly, Glasner is currently the 6/5 favourite to be in charge of Manchester United at the start of the 2026/27 season.

Veteran manager Bordalas, 61, has held the manager or head coach roles no fewer than 17 times spanning more than 30 years, mostly in the lower leagues of Spanish football, but he is currently in charge of La Liga side Getafe and winning many plaudits with the club currently comfortable in mid-table.

Behind Bordalas in the market is 9/2 chance Inigo Perez, 37, who is currently the manager of Rayo Vallecano, also in La Liga, while former Crystal Palace favourite and England manager Gareth Southgate is the third favourite at 5/1.
