As per Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV will not exercise the buying option for Tyrell Malacia, with the full-back set to return to England this summer. At the same time, PSV would like to continue with Mauro Junior, but negotiations surrounding his new contract are going badly.

Malacia was brought in on loan from Manchester United on January Deadline Day. While PSV did a lot to get the move over the line, his displays in the Eredivisie haven’t been deemed convincing enough in this second half of the season.

The Eindhoven club are said to know enough and will not exercise the option to buy in the former Feyenoorder’s contract. The wing-back will therefore leave, alongside Rick Karsdorp.

In addition to the two defenders leaving, PSV is also working on two extensions on the flanks. Peter Bosz’s side would very like to continue with Mauro, but negotiations with the Brazilian are not going well. Richard Ledezma’s contract is also expiring and must still be extended.
