Neymar shared an emotional video of his World Cup call-up, breaking down in tears before hugging his physiotherapist at home in Santos.

Before the announcement, the Santos No 10 joked he would await a call from Carlo Ancelotti if he was left out, adding this felt like his last chance to play at a World Cup.

Surrounded by family and friends, he watched the reveal live. When his name appeared, he cried and ran to embrace physio Rafael and fitness coach Ricardo Rosa.

He then hugged his wife, his representative and his mother, and took calls from his father and Raphinha, who was also selected, before greeting other friends present.

Reflecting afterwards, he said it was hard not to be moved by everything he has gone through and called it incredible to reach a fourth World Cup. He described tears of happiness, thanked supporters who backed his return to the Seleção and said the group are united and will give everything to bring the trophy back to Brazil. He hoped to finish on a high, said he had met his objective, and urged fans to join them in pursuit of a sixth title.
