Carlo Ancelotti has left Neymar out of Brazil’s final camp before the 2026 World Cup, recalling Lyon’s Endrick. Brazil face France in Boston on 26 March.
L'Équipe reports that Ancelotti named a 26-man squad featuring Marquinhos and Vinicius Junior, with Rodrygo sidelined by a ruptured cruciate ligament and Eder Militao out with a muscle injury. Bruno Guimaraes and Estevao are also missing due to hamstring problems.
Ancelotti has once again omitted Neymar, and his chances of making the 2026 tournament are diminishing drastically. Endrick’s form for Olympique Lyonnais has earned a recall, and he will probably make his first Brazil appearance since 26 March 2025, a 4-1 defeat by Argentina.
Ancelotti has selected only five midfielders for this window. After facing France, Brazil meet Croatia in Orlando on 1 April.
Goalkeepers Alisson, Bento and Ederson are selected. Among the defenders are Alex Sandro, Bremer, Danilo, Douglas Santos, Gabriel, Ibanez, Leo Pereira and Wesley.
The midfield group comprises Andrey Santos, Casemiro, Danilo, Fabinho and Gabriel Sara. The attack includes Raphinha, Gabriel Martinelli, Joao Pedro, Igor Thiago, Luiz Enrique, Matheus Cunha and Rayan.
