Panini’s official 2026 World Cup sticker album does not include Neymar, even though Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has not, at least publicly, finalised his squad.
According to Folha de S.Paulo, the company confirmed on Friday 24 that the version first shown in Spain, which omits Santos’s No 10, is authentic and will be released worldwide.
The omission has prompted questions about a possible leak of Ancelotti’s final list and disappointed supporters who still hope the forward is called for a fourth World Cup.
Neymar played at 2014 in Brazil, 2018 in Russia and 2022 in Qatar, and is seeking to convince the Italian before the 18 May announcement for a tournament that will, for the first time, be co-hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico.
He will be rested for the Campeonato Brasileiro match against Bahia in Salvador at 18:30, though he still has a few Santos outings to strengthen his case.
Despite being sidelined for the season through injury, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo appears among Brazil’s selections in the album. The Brazil players listed are Alisson, Bento, Marquinhos, Éder Militão, Gabriel Magalhães, Danilo, Wesley, Casemiro, Lucas Paquetá, Bruno Guimarães, Luiz Henrique, Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo, João Pedro, Matheus Cunha, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha and Estêvão.
