Neymar shares emotional family moment after first 2026 World Cup outing

Neymar marked his first appearance at the 2026 World Cup by sharing an emotional post-match moment with his family.

According to L'Équipe, it was his first Brazil outing in nearly three years. He came on in the 76th minute as Brazil beat Scotland 3-0 on Wednesday night in their final group game.

The 34-year-old was deployed centrally and looked to make an impact without being flamboyant. In the mixed zone he said it was wonderful and beautiful to experience. The match marked his participation in a fourth World Cup.

Brazil’s record scorer has 79 goals in 129 caps.

After the final whistle he reunited with partner Bruna Biancardi and three of his four children, embracing daughters Mavie and Mel, and his eldest, Davi Lucca.
