Neymar suspended for Athletico-PR as Santos star collects third booking | OneFootball

Neymar will miss Santos' 22nd-round Brasileirão meeting with Athletico-PR after receiving his third yellow card.

According to Globo.com, the sides are set to meet at Vila Belmiro on 9 August at 18:30 Brasília time.

Santos' No 10 was cautioned at 30 minutes of the second half in Saturday's 20th-round draw with Chapecoense. He had been fouled by Bruno Tubarão, then protested and pushed two opponents before referee Fernando Antônio Mendes de Salles Nascimento Filho showed the yellow.

It was his first Santos appearance since the World Cup. After Brazil's last-16 exit, he was given a few days off and returned to training on 17.

Santos now turn to the Copa Sul-Americana play-off for the last 16. They host Universidad Central of Venezuela on Tuesday at 21:30 Brasília time, having won the first leg 4-1.
