Brazilian star clashes with media amid criticism over behaviour vs Flamengo

Neymar’s latest clash with Brazilian media sparks new storm
Neymar has once again found himself at the centre of controversy — this time off the pitch — after reports claimed he apologised to Santos coach Pablo Vojvoda for his angry outburst during the club’s 3-2 defeat to Flamengo in the Brazilian league.
The 32 year old reacted furiously when he was substituted in the 85 minute at the Maracana showing clear frustration on the touchline before heading straight down the tunnel rather than staying with the bench.
His behaviour reportedly upset the coach and several teammates who viewed the gesture as disrespectful to the team & the club.
According to Globo Esporte, relayed by Foot Mercato, Neymar phoned Vojvoda after the match to apologise explaining that his anger was directed at refereeing decisions not at the coach or his teammates.
The report claimed Neymar clarified that he never intended to undermine the coaching staff and attributed his reaction solely to frustration during tense match.
The former Barcelona & PSG star wasted no time in shutting down the report posting blunt denial on Instagram:
"Another lie from terrible journalist"
This is not the first time Neymar attacks media outlets over stories he believes misrepresent his behaviour. His social media reactions have become increasingly frequent in the last two year as his on field involvement continues to decline.
