Neymar's World Cup call-up brought tears, celebrations and a pledge to Raphinha after Carlo Ancelotti named the Santos No 10 in Rio on Monday, according to Globo.com.

He watched at home in Santos with friends, tense before hearing his name, as shown in a behind-the-scenes video on his YouTube channel.

On a video call with Barcelona winger Raphinha, he vowed they would win it. He later told his mother Nadine that it had worked and that they had succeeded.

The forward will contest his fourth World Cup. He said it was hard not to cry, that his tears were of happiness, and that they would give everything to bring the trophy to Brazil.

The squad are due to report on 27, though not all will be available. Players from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, including centre-backs Gabriel Magalhães and Marquinhos, join only after the Champions League final on 30. Those involved in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana may also arrive later.

After four days of training at Granja Comary in Teresópolis, Brazil play Panama on 31 at the Maracanã at 18:30. The players have time off afterwards and report to CBF headquarters the following day at 16:00. They then head to Tom Jobim International Airport to fly to the United States at 20:00.

The team will be based in New Jersey, training at the recently opened New York Red Bulls facility. Their final warm-up is against Egypt on 6 June in Cleveland. They open on 13 June against Morocco in New Jersey, with Group C also featuring Haiti and Scotland.
