N'Golo Kanté completes medical, set to sign for Fenerbahçe

N'Golo Kanté, 34, has completed a medical ahead of signing for Fenerbahçe from Al-Ittihad, part of a swap plus a fee. According to L'Équipe, the France international with 65 caps is set to receive a two-and-a-half-year contract.

He will now travel to Istanbul to finalise the move. Kanté joined Al-Ittihad in 2023.

Youssef En-Nesyri is expected to sign for the Saudi side, who are sixth in the Saudi Pro League. Some details still need finalising, with the window in Türkiye closing on Friday.

The deal should also unlock Karim Benzema’s departure to Al-Hilal, with whom the former Lyon forward has an agreement.

In Istanbul, Kanté would link up with Mattéo Guendouzi, his international team-mate. Angers forward Sidiki Chérif, 19, has also joined Fenerbahçe in a transfer estimated at €22 million.
