N'Golo Kanté greeted by vast Fenerbahçe crowd on Istanbul arrival

N'Golo Kanté was met by a huge Fenerbahçe following on Wednesday night as he landed in Istanbul.

According to L'Équipe, several thousand fans gathered behind security barriers at the airport to glimpse the France midfielder, capped 65 times with 2 goals.

Flares were lit as photographers and suited minders guided him towards jubilant supporters.

The move followed a protracted saga in which he at one stage feared being stuck at Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, before finalising his switch to the club in Türkiye.

A 2018 World Cup winner, Kanté is nearing 35 and aims to feature at the 2026 tournament.
