Nice target William Mikelbrencis received Valencia contract offer | OneFootball

Currently a free agent following his departure from Hamburg SV, William Mikelbrencis (22) is reported to have received a contract offer from Valencia CF, according to L’Équipe.

Having been linked with Olympique de Marseille at the start of the transfer window, the defender – who has not yet responded to the Spanish offer – is also believed to be on the radar of OGC Nice, although they must first trim their squad before they can sign new players.

A product of the FC Metz academy, Mikelbrencis made just 14 appearances for the first team (one goal, one assist) before moving to Germany in the summer of 2022. Initially regarded as a backup, the former French Under-20 international (seven caps) has gradually established himself as a key member of the HSV squad.

Making 26 appearances (15 as a starter) in the Bundesliga last season, the Forbach-born player took on a more attacking role, which saw him contribute four assists in the league.
