Nick Walsh back on Celtic business, sad death of Boavista

While there were many controversial moments which left both sets of fans annoyed a favourite moment for me was when Walsh answered Raskin’s complaints about the referee not giving Anthony Ralston a second yellow card for the penalty’ hand ball’ decision by telling theRangers player that “it’s the rules of the game. It’s not my problem you don’t know the rules, it’s yours.”

Nick has the whistle for the Scottish Premiership match at Easter Road this Sunday, 30 November and he will be assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Frank Connor. The VAR on Sunday will be Grant Irvine and the Assistant VAR role will be handled by Ross Hardie.

It’s a noon kick-off at Easter Road and we’ll know on Saturday afternoon what the table will look like after Motherwell take on current leaders Hearts at Fir Park. Derek McInnes’ side benefited from a nice little run of home fixtures but found it tougher on the road at Pittodrie on Sunday afternoon, making it a tighter title race with Hearts dropping seven points in their last four games while Celtic has collected nine points from three Scottish Premiership matches under Martin O’Neill and reached the Premier Sports Cup Final.

Martin will finish up his short but sweet spell as interim Celtic manager on Sunday, a game he’ll give his full attention after the Europa League match in Rotterdam on Thursday night is out the way.

One of Martin’s most memorable night’s in European football as Celtic manager came in Porto against Boavista in the 2003 UEFA Cup semi-final. Sad news today is that it seems to be the end of the road for Boavista as a football club who are going to be liquidated and seize to exist as a football club.
