Nick Woltemade is expected to make his World Cup debut when Germany face Ecuador in their final Group E match on Thursday, Bild reports, with Deniz Undav set to start as a No 10.

The 24-year-old Newcastle United forward has yet to feature at the tournament, a situation that now looks likely to change.

It remains unclear whether he will replace Kai Havertz up front or come off the bench.

Before the 2-1 win over Côte d’Ivoire, Woltemade said he was “working hard” for his chance. That match did not bring his first minutes.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side are already certain to finish top of Group E.
