A fresh update on the plans of La Liga giants Real Madrid for Nico Paz has early this week come to the fore online.
This comes amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the immediate future of the Argentine international.
Midfielder Paz has of course long been expected to take his talents back to Spain’s capital this summer. After another spectacular campaign on the books of Como, the Real Madrid brass have been widely tipped to activate their cut-price buyback clause on the 21-year-old.
Paz himself, however, appears to have other ideas. The understanding is that the starlet has made it known that he would like to stay put in Italy for one more year, to experience Champions League football in Como’s colours.
Real Madrid’s signing of Bernardo Silva, meanwhile, has only thrown Paz’s future further up in the air.
All of a Blancos persuasion will on Tuesday therefore no doubt be interested to learn of an update on the situation coming to the fore online.
The info comes courtesy of market insider Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed the following:
‘No doubts since last week on Nico Páz preference to stay at Como for one more season, even more after Bernardo deal — Real Madrid are informed of that.
‘But Como and Real are still in talks to find the best solution about Nico deal, all parties in contact. Not done yet.’
