Nicolas de Tavernost confirms Saturday evening Ligue 1 multiplex from next season | OneFootball

Nicolas de Tavernost, director general of LFP Media, confirmed on Wednesday that the Ligue 1 multiplex will return to Saturday evening from next season, after recent years on Sunday afternoons. As reported by L'Équipe on 1 March.

He outlined the schedule during a hearing of the Senate’s Commission for culture, education, communication and sport, which examined the football TV rights crisis.

The Saturday evening multiplex will bring together four matches.

As this season, the round will start with a Friday night game. Another fixture will be played on Saturday afternoon before the multiplex.

On Sunday, two matches will take place during the day at different times, with a final one in the evening.

Ligue 1+, the LFP’s platform, will show all nine games each matchday next season, having regained the Saturday 17:00 slot previously held by beIN Sports.
