Nicolas Gonzalez will have to wait to make an Inter Milan move happen

Nicolas Gonzalez has opened the door to a move to Inter Milan from Juventus this summer as he no longer wants to play for the Bianconeri after spending last season on loan at Atletico Madrid.

At the Spanish club, Gonzalez was one of their best players and showed that he can be trusted. Atletico want to sign him on a permanent deal, but they have offered a fee below Juventus’ valuation, making an agreement difficult to reach.

Luciano Spalletti wants to assess Gonzalez and find a place for him in his squad, but even the new manager has failed to convince the attacker to return to Juventus. The player has made his position clear and does not want to continue playing for the club.

Gonzalez opens door to Inter

Gonzalez has reportedly told Juventus that, even if a move to Atletico Madrid does not happen, he does not want to play for the Bianconeri again. That stance has allowed Inter Milan to pursue the winger as they look to strengthen their squad.

Inter want new wingers, and Gonzalez could become their next addition. His performances for Atletico have shown that he can contribute at a high level, while his desire to leave Juventus could make a move possible.

However, Inter still need to make some sales before they can formally pursue his signature. The Nerazzurri therefore have to wait before they can make their interest concrete.

Juventus open to Inter deal

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Inter need to complete some sales before they can formalise their interest in Gonzalez. That means the attacker may have to wait before the Milan club can take the next step.

Juventus have no problem with selling Gonzalez to Inter because the player has asked to leave and they do not want to keep an unhappy player in their squad. The Bianconeri have several other players willing to represent the club, meaning they can accept Gonzalez’s desire for a new challenge.

For now, Atletico remain interested, but their offer does not match Juventus’ valuation. Inter could provide another solution if they can complete their sales and make a suitable proposal.

Gonzalez’s future therefore appears increasingly likely to be away from Turin, with both Atletico and Inter offering potential destinations this summer.
