Not called up by Enzo Maresca, he trained away from the first team, a clear sign that a move is imminent. Having slipped down the attacking pecking order following the arrivals of João Pedro and Liam Delap, the Senegal international has expressed to the Blues' management his intention to leave the club.

According to Footmercato, the Senegal international has chosen Newcastle United as his preferred destination.
