Head coach Cesc Fabregas has made it clear that the German wide man must show greater consistency in his daily work if he wants to become a guaranteed starter.
The 26-year-old arrived in Italy last summer in a high-profile £17million move from Celtic, but his performances have yet to fully match the expectations that came with his price tag.
While Kuhn has featured regularly, his involvement has been mixed, alternating between starting games and substitute appearances, and he remains without a goal or assist after 16 matches for Como.

Kuhn was left out of the starting lineup for their recent 1-1 stalemate against Celtic’s upcoming Europa League opponents Bologna, and his place in the squad now appears under pressure. Fabregas suggested that improvements are needed from the ex-Hoops man, signalling that improved training performances could be key to earning a starting position week in week out.

Speaking via Daily Record, Fabregas said: “I’ll wait for you and give you more opportunities, yes, but you show me more in training.”
It was only back in the summer that Kuhn revealed it was an easy-decision for himself to move from Glasgow to football on the Lake. He explained: “I’m really excited to be here. I had a long chat with the coach and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch, familiarise myself with the stadium and play in front of our fans.
“The decision was easy: the project is ambitious, and I want to be part of it, doing my best to help the team grow and achieve increasingly important goals.”
“The city is beautiful – a real film set! I’m happy to start this new adventure in such a beautiful place.”

Como currently sit in sixth position in Serie A, five points behind Juventus in the Champions League places – but have a game in hand.
