Corinthians goalkeeper Nicole Ramos says her Brazil call-up rewards hard work. Named by head coach Arthur Elias on 20 May, she plans to make the most of the camp in Itu.
According to Meu Timao, she spoke after progression past Palmeiras into the Copa do Brasil last 16 at Allianz Parque, calling the chance a long-held dream she has worked for.
The camp sits outside a FIFA window with no matches. Seven Corinthians are in, Ramos plus Ana Morganti, Ivana Fuso, Andressa Alves, Ana Vitória, Jaqueline and Jhonson, training from 15 to 20 June.
Ramos said national-team chances come from club form at Parque São Jorge and that her priority remains delivering for Corinthians while showing she can compete for a place.
Lelê, Thais Ferreira and Duda Sampaio are selected for Brazil’s games against the United States on 6 and 9 June, at Neo Química Arena then Arena Castelão.
Belén Aquino, Gisela Robledo and Dayana Rodríguez also have call-ups. The women’s calendar pauses for the men’s World Cup, but Corinthians will face the United States Under-23s on 5 June at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava and on 9 June in Cotia, then return in the third week of July against Ferroviária in the Paulista.
