Roberto Mancini has trimmed Italy’s 34-man squad for Monday’s Nations League trip to Türkiye, 20:45 kick-off, with 10 players remaining at Coverciano. Nicolo Barella and Diego Coppola are among those not travelling.

According to L'Équipe, the players staying at the national training centre are Honest Ahanor (Crystal Palace), Nicolo Barella (Inter Milan), Diego Coppola (Paris FC), Samuele Inacio (Borussia Dortmund), Eddy Kouadio (Monza), Daniel Maldini (Cagliari), Gianluca Mancini (AS Rome), Massimo Pessina (Bologne), Samuele Ricci (Côme) and Mohamed Ali Zoma (Nuremberg).

Barella, Coppola and Gianluca Mancini started the 0-2 defeat against Belgium on Friday night and have been left out to rest, with Friday’s meeting with France at 20:45 in mind.

For goalkeeper Pessina, defender Kouadio, midfielder Ricci and forward Inacio, this is a second consecutive omission, as they were already left out before facing Belgium.

Alessandro Bastoni is back in the squad after serving a suspension for his red card against Bosnia-Herzegovina in March.
