Borussia Dortmund announced on Monday morning that Niklas Süle would not be travelling with the squad to Milan ahead of their Champions League club against AC Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday night.
Süle misses the game at short notice due to a cold, according to Ruhr Nachrichten, and although travelling with the squad, Marcel Sabitzer is also questionable for tomorrow’s game with a muscular problem.
Edin Terzić announced last week that Felix Nmecha would miss the remainder of 2023 due to a hip injury which leaves Dortmund short in midfield. Julien Duranville will also miss the remainder of the year while Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey weren’t registered for the Champions League group stages.
Sébastien Haller and Karim Adeyemi both missed Dortmund’s 4-2 comeback win against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday due to a cold but the duo are feeling better and have travelled to Italy.
Leading Group F with two games remaining, there is just three points that separates Borussia Dortmund and fourth-placed Newcastle United. With a win against Milan on Tuesday, BVB can book their place in the Champions League knockout stages which would also see a return of €10m.
