Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic had no doubts about signing a new contract this season.
Speaking with Informer, the Serb is confident the Viola can shake off their poor season start.
He said, “I talked a lot with the management and the family in the previous months: the decision I made is based on the club's ambitions, which are very high. It is clear from the inclusion of quality players, from the construction of the most beautiful sports centre in Europe and from the desire of the club to make a change.
"The permanence of Vincenzo Italiano and his playing style were also very important for me at the moment of the decision.
“Doing better than last season means entering the top six. We also have the Conference League, which is important to us. Many initially underestimated this third-tier UEFA competition, then we saw how much the trophy meant for José Mourinho last season.
"We can also see in this season how much that success meant for the Roma fans, there was a lot of enthusiasm."
