FC Bayern are working flat out on the squad for the 2026/27 season. Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown are two players at the top of the shopping list. Despite the ambitious transfer plans, President Herbert Hainer has now made it clear that the Munich club will not throw their financial principles overboard

Preparations for the coming season are in full swing at Säbener Straße. While numerous Bayern professionals will be away at the World Cup, those responsible are pressing ahead with their plans for the new season

After the failed transfer of Anthony Gordon, Munich have concentrated their efforts on other candidates

Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven is currently one of the hottest transfer targets, with talks between the parties involved already at an advanced stage according to reports

Bayern are also serious about Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt. The German international is set to strengthen the left flank and has reportedly already given the record champions his agreement in principle

The main challenge now lies in the negotiations with the respective clubs

Bayern remains true to its line

Transfer fees of between 50 and 60 million euros are currently being quoted for both Saibari and Brown, meaning the transfer package could cost well over 100 million euros in total

Nevertheless, Bayern do not want to soften their economic principles, as the case of Anthony Gordon has already shown

The England international was long regarded as the ideal solution for the offensive, but although Munich had already agreed a transfer with the player, they ultimately decided against signing him

The reason: FC Barcelona were prepared to invest significantly higher sums, so Bayern withdrew from the poker game and deliberately refrained from bidding

It is precisely this attitude that will continue to apply in the future

During a fan club visit on Sunday, Bayern President Herbert Hainer made it clear that the club would continue to follow its chosen path. „We will not enter into any crazy deals,“ emphasized the supervisory board chairman, underlining the record champions‘ financial discipline

Eberl must now push ahead with sales

Hainer’s statements show that although Munich are prepared to invest considerable sums for the right players, they are setting clear limits

This is precisely why possible sales will play a decisive role in the coming weeks

In addition to Brown and Saibari, there are numerous other transfer candidates being traded at FC Bayern. However, one thing is clear: if the transfers of Saibari and Brown are successfully completed, the focus of sporting director Max Eberl is likely to shift initially to the outgoing side. The aim is to generate additional income and at the same time create scope for further squad adjustments

There are several candidates for a sale. In addition to a number of loan players, individual professionals from the current squad could also leave the club. Those responsible are pursuing a clear strategy: investments should be secured with their own income wherever possible.
