FC Bayern have just won 4-1 against Atalanta Bergamo to progress to the next stage of the Champions League, where they'll be facing Real Madrid.

After the match, Bayern Munich midfielder Tom Bischof underlined the importance of balance within Bayern Munich’s squad, highlighting how preparation and shared intensity help both experienced and young players perform at the same level.

“We train a lot for games like today,” Bischof said. “The young players are often involved and feel the intensity - sometimes it doesn’t make a big difference who plays, as long as the mix is right.

The midfielder also pointed to the strong bond within the squad as a key factor behind Bayern’s performances. “The team spirit is really great,” he added.

Bischof also explained a light-hearted moment during the match, as he and Lennart Karl celebrated with a gesture referencing the recent “Uno” joke from a press conference.

“That was just a bit of fun between us. We wanted to respond to the jokes that were made at the last press conference and thought it would be funny,” he said. He reserved special praise for Karl, who continues to impress. “Lenny gives everything in every game - he really puts everything into it.”

Looking ahead, Bischof made Bayern’s mindset clear as they prepare to face Real Madrid. “I’m looking forward to great games in great stadiums,” he said. “We’re not afraid of anyone - I’m really excited for it.”
