A fresh update on the ongoing clash between Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen and the club’s board has on Tuesday been forthcoming online.
This comes amid confirmation that the German has rejected all attempts on the part of the Blaugrana to help with the early stages of his recovery from injury.
Ter Stegen has of course reemerged as public enemy no.1 in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.
As much comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 33-year-old has refused to sign Barcelona’s medical report regarding his back injury and recent surgery.
As a result, the club’s hopes of utilising the freed space on the club’s wage bill to register their summer signings is as of this moment blocked.
If the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, though, then even prior to this fresh development, the relationship between the Blaugrana brass and the club’s long-time no.1 appeared to have been damaged beyond repair.
As revealed by Barca insider Javier Miguel:
‘Ter Stegen, as Diario AS reported, did not want anyone from Barça to accompany him to Bordeaux for his surgery. He also did not maintain any kind of contact with Ignasi Moix, the club doctor sent to Bordeaux. Nor did he want him to accompany him during the post-operative period. Open war…’
