Alexander Isak would appear to be an unlikely selection choice for Arne Slot’s first-XI against Burnley on Sunday.

The Sweden international hasn’t had a serious pre-season owing to the lengthy transfer saga he was actively involved in during the summer transfer window.

Notably, the forward’s strike at one point saw him make use of former club Real Sociedad’s training facilities to keep in shape during the off-season.

That said, Gary Neville was of the mind that Liverpool signing Isak could yet top the bill for the impending clash.
