West Ham United faced a 1-0 defeat by the hands of Newcastle United in their previous most game. They are next scheduled to travel to Goodison Park to face Everton in the Premier League this fixture. It will be a challenging game for sure.
The Hammers are 16th on the domestic points table but they have a comfortable gap from the relegation zone. Hence, they can play this game without much pressure. It will be a good opportunity for them to test themselves.
Defence
Alphonse Areola did impressive work despite conceding a goal against the Magpies. He will be operating between the sticks once again.
Jean-Clair Todibo, Max Kilman, and Aaron Cresswell were used in the three-man backline in the previous game. This time too the trio will be deployed to take care of the defence. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Ollie Scarles are once again deployed as the full wing-back in the side.

Midfield
Graham Potter is likely to field Edson Alvarez, Tomas Soucek, and James Ward-Prowse in the middle of the park. Though Lucas Paqueta has recovered from his ankle injury and was used as a substitute against Newcastle United, he might not start in this game too.
Jarrod Bowen didn’t put his best foot forward last week but could be lucky to get retained in the offensive pack. On the flip side, Mohamed Kudus was impressive and should be ready to complete the attacking line.
Michail Antonio (leg), Niclas Fullkrug (hamstring) and Crysencio Summerville (thigh) are all sidelined due to injuries while Vladimir Coufal (thigh) will be assessed before the game to know his availability.
