Norbye joins Fredrikstad FK on loan for remainder of the season

Jonathan Norbye has joined Fredrikstad FK on loan for the remainder of the season. The Norwegian side have also secured an option to buy the centre-back.

Norbye joined RB Leipzig in summer 2023, having come up through the ranks of Alta IF, where he got his first taste of professional football as a 15-year-old.

The 19-year-old has featured in 48 matches for RBL's youth sides. He made his Bundesliga debut for the club away against Eintracht Frankfurt in May 2024. Norbye then joined Arminia Bielefeld on loan in summer 2025, before the loan was cut short early this past winter.
