Norwich City are closing in on a permanent deal for Brentford midfielder Paris Maghoma this month
Norwich City are closing in on their third arrival of the January window, with Brentford midfielder Paris Maghoma expected to make the switch to Carrow Road on a permanent deal imminently.
According to The Pink Un's Connor Southwell, Norwich are expected to complete a deal for 24-year-old midfielder Maghoma this month, with the Brentford man set for a medical ahead of a permanent switch to Norfolk.
Maghoma is expected to play in the number 10 hole at Norwich, with Philippe Clement's side short on attacking options, especially with their struggles with injuries.
A product of Tottenham Hotspur's youth system, Maghoma looks set to join both Canadian winger Ali Ahmed and Manchester United left-back Harry Amass to make the move to Carrow Road this month, as the Canaries strengthen their prospects of flying away from danger this campaign.

Norwich are now expected to complete a permanent deal for Brentford midfielder Maghoma, as per The Pink Un's Connor Southwell.
Details surrounding the length of contract and transfer fee are yet to be revealed, but this acquisition could prove to be a shrewd piece of business by the club.
The midfielder is set to complete a medical ahead of his proposed move to the club, where he will offer competition to the likes of Anis Ben Slimane, Oscar Schwartau, Jacob Wright and Emi Marcondes in that number 10 role.
Elsewhere, Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt's Danish striker Kasper Hogh, who netted twice against Manchester City in the Champions League recently, has emerged as a potential target this window after Josh Sargent has angled for a move away.
Though, Maghoma looks set to be the next body through the door at Carrow Road, ahead of what looks to be a busy period from now until the end of the window.

Maghoma has struggled to break into the Brentford squad since his initial switch to the Bees in 2020, having spent time out on loan with the likes of AFC Wimbledon, MK Dons, and Bolton Wanderers.
During the 2023/24 season, Maghoma scored eight and assisted four in 37 League One games whilst on loan with Bolton, and would be integrated into the Brentford squad the following campaign, though playing just over 100 minutes of Premier League football across eight appearances.
Now, under Keith Andrews, the former England youth international has failed to make a senior appearance this season and now looks set to leave the club on a permanent basis.
Since Philippe Clement arrived at Carrow Road following the dismissal of Liam Manning, the Canaries' form and performance have seen a major upturn, with the Belgian looking to stamp his authority on the squad with the latest addition of Maghoma.

Belgian boss Clement has turned Norwich's form upside down, with the Canaries languishing in the depths of the division upon his arrival, with major concerns over relegation having been raised.
The club's sporting director, Ben Knapper, has come under huge scrutiny for his role in Norwich's summer recruitment, with many fans feeling it was not up to scratch.
The decision to allow Marcelino Nunez to join bitter rivals Ipswich Town for £10 million was a particularly damning blow, though he is looking to make amends this January with some savvy business.
Maghoma has not played at Championship level in his career, with Norwich set to offer him his first taste of the division.
The Brentford midfielder will only serve to strengthen Norwich's options moving forward, as they look to continue to climb the league table and put any lingering fears of a relegation battle on the back burner.
