Plymouth Argyle are holding talks over the signing of Norwich City midfielder Adam Forshaw.
That's according to a report from The Daily Mail, who say that the 32-year-old is open to the prospect of making the move to Home Park.
It is not long since Forshaw joined Norwich, with the midfielder having only joined the Canaries back in the summer transfer window.
That move came after his contract with Leeds United had expired, following a five-and-a-half-year spell with the Yorkshire club.
The midfielder signed a one-year deal with Norwich, that included the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months, effectively securing his future in East Anglia until the end of the 2024/25 season.
However, Forshaw has found opportunities somewhat hard to come by since his arrival at Carrow Road, making just nine first-team appearances in all competitions for David Wagner's side.
As a result, it now seems as though the 32-year-old could once again be on the move this month.
According to this latest update, Forshaw is now in negotiations about a deal to join Norwich's Championship rivals, in the form of Plymouth.
It is thought that the midfielder himself is ready to make that move to Home Park, just a few months after he signed for Norwich.
Recently appointed Plymouth manager Ian Foster is apparently keen to sign the 32-year-old, in order to bring some added experience to a relatively young squad.
So far this month, the Pilgrims have made four signings, with young Tottenham duo Ashley Phillips and Alfie Devine, as well as Leeds midfielder Darko Gyabi, joining on loan.
Meanwhile, left-back Matthew Sorinola has signed on a permanent deal, following his release from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise.
Following their promotion as League One title winners last season, Plymouth are now looking to avoid an immediate return to the third-tier of English football.
The Pilgrims have taken 30 points from 27 league games so far this season, meaning they currently sit 19th in the Championship table, eight points clear of the relegation zone.
Foster's side are next in action on Saturday afternoon, when they host Cardiff City at Home Park.
It does feel as though this could be a rather good signing for Plymouth, if they are able to pull it off.
This is a rather young squad that they are taking into what could turn out to be a relegation battle, so the experience Forshaw brings in playing under pressure, could help them to get out of trouble.
Indeed, having previously won multiple promotions from this level with the likes of Middlesbrough and Leeds, he has the quality to back that up, with his own performances on the pitch as well.
