According to Sky Sports Germany (19.52), the Canaries are keen on the striker despite the fact he has yet to make his debut for the Bundesliga side.

The 19-year-old has earned a reputation as a promising young forward at underage level, and now has a number of suitors in the transfer market.

Philippe Clement is keen to bolster his attacking options for the upcoming Championship season, with the club targeting a promotion push.

The Norfolk outfit finished ninth in the table in the previous campaign, and will be optimistic of competing for a top eight finish in 2026/27.

Norwich have until 1 September to complete any remaining transfer business, with time starting to run out to get deals over the line.

Norwich are believed to be interested in a deal to sign Fields this summer despite his lack of senior experience.

The 19-year-old has yet to make his professional debut, but Clement is keen to bring him to Carrow Road before the market shuts.

However, it’s understood that Hoffenheim are not interested in a sale at this moment, and the player has a contract until June 2030, giving them a strong negotiating position.

Norwich aren’t the only club monitoring the youngster’s future, with teams from Belgium and Denmark, including Copenhagen, among them.

While Hoffenheim sporting director Andreas Schicker is believed to be adamant regarding the teenager’s future, it remains to be seen what kind of fee it could take to convince the German side to cash in.

Fields already knows Norwich well, having been a member of their academy system prior to moving to Hoffenheim.

How Norwich City fans feel about Jykese Fields pursuit

Norwich supporters are slightly concerned about the potential cost of a deal for a player with no senior experience.

However, the club have been told that he might possess the kind of quality that they should be looking to add to the squad.

Meanwhile, some have joked that the Championship side might be signing too many players with similar names after Sam Field joined the club this year.

Norwich will kick-off their Championship campaign with a home clash against West Brom on 15 August.

Jykese Fields deal is one for the future at Norwich

A deal to sign Fields this summer appears unlikely at this stage, as Hoffenheim do not want to sell and the player has four years left on his contract.

This would make a potential deal quite expensive, as only a significant offer is likely to convince the Bundesliga side to cash in.

However, their interest in Fields could be a long-term play, and he is someone that could be on their radar come January or next summer as well.

If he can gain some senior experience in the Bundesliga over the next season, then that would go a long way to determining whether he is a realistic transfer target for the Norfolk outfit in the long run.
