Sara is thought to be of interest to the Italian club, but they will have to pay a sizeable amount to lure him away from Carrow Road.

Norwich City won't open negotiations with a team that aren't willing to pay €20m or more for Gabriel Sara this summer, according to journalist Andre Hernan.

Sara is just one of a number of Norwich players who could attract interest this summer.

Josh Sargent is another player who could become the subject of interest in the next couple of months, after thriving last season despite picking up a severe ankle injury during the early stages of the term following his goal away at Huddersfield Town.

The United States international could prove to be a key player again next season, but whether he remains at Carrow Road beyond the summer window remains to be seen.

It also remains to be seen whether Adam Idah will remain at the club, with Celtic interested in signing him again following a successful loan spell.

Jonathan Rowe is another player who enjoyed a successful 2023/24 campaign, bursting on to the scene and managing to make a very good impact for much of the season, although an injury did disrupt his progression.

Sara could attract the most lucrative fee though, having impressed in Norfolk during the past couple of seasons.

Becoming a crucial player for the Canaries since their return to the Championship, he can count himself unlucky not to have won promotion with his current team, having established himself as the club's best player.

Brazilian midfielder Sara won't be sold for less than €20m this summer, according to reporter Hernan, with the Canaries taking a tough stance on one of their key men.

However, the same journalist has also reported that it will be hard for the English second-tier club to keep hold of him this summer, with plenty of interest in him.

Italian outfit Roma have reportedly joined the race to recruit the 24-year-old, but they aren't the only team that are interested in luring the Brazilian away from Carrow Road.

Crystal Palace are another team that are thought to be in the mix for the player, having enjoyed plenty of success in the EFL market before, recruiting the likes of Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Adam Wharton from the second tier.

Sara, who has proved himself in the second tier, could be another good signing for Palace if Oliver Glasner's side decide to step up their interest in the midfielder.

Johannes Hoff Thorup may have to prepare for life without Gabriel Sara at Norwich City

Considering his statistics from last season, with the Brazilian a major asset in the final third, it wouldn't be a shock if he left Carrow Road.

The player still has two years left on his contract and the Canaries even have an option to extend his deal by 12 months.

That leaves Norwich in a very strong negotiating position and with the club cashing in on a couple of key players in the past year, they may not be under too much pressure to sell players in their quest to continue abiding by financial rules.

There are other players they can sell too.

However, Sara may be the Norwich player who attracts the most interest this summer and the Canaries may have to plan for life without him.
