Daniel Farke's days at Leeds United may be numbered, and these Championship sides should be on the lookout to bring him in
Daniel Farke's future at Leeds United is in jeopardy, and the three-time Championship promotion winner could find himself back in the second tier, or at least on the radar of clubs in the division, shortly.
Despite last season's Championship champions starting the new top-flight campaign with 11 points in 11 games and staying above the bottom three throughout, Farke is the odds-on favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.
Ultimately, Leeds' opening 11 fixtures have been rather favourable, playing eight of the current nine sides who join them in the bottom half of the division.
Therefore, the schedule is only going to get harder, and Leeds fans are worried that Farke's side hasn't done enough to build a barrier between themselves and the bottom three ahead of upcoming games against the likes of Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
There hasn't been much white smoke surrounding a potential sacking at Elland Road, and the German boss has been insistent that the club are staying calm amid some "emotional" backlash, but if Farke does end up departing Leeds, these three Championship clubs should be ready to pounce.

It's been a hectic few weeks in the second tier, with now four different Championship clubs on the hunt for a new manager. The likes of Gary O'Neil, Russell Martin and even Steven Gerrard have been linked with managerial posts, but if Farke were to become available, you'd imagine that clubs would immediately start to pursue him.
When it comes to getting clubs out of the Championship, there hasn't been many better suited than Daniel Farke, who has won the second tier three times in the five seasons he's managed in the competition, with one of his failed campaigns still seeing his Leeds side accumulate 90 points and reach the play-off final.
With Middlesbrough currently in a position to challenge at the top of the table, and Southampton with ambitions and a squad capable of getting there themselves after a poor start, Farke would be the ideal candidate for them.
In Norwich City's case, promotion might not be the goal this season after a truly terrible start to the campaign, but they'll still have an eye on the German boss due to his past connections at Carrow Road.
Farke won the Championship twice with the Canaries, and whilst he was unable to keep the club in the Premier League, his four-year spell at Carrow Road is remembered fondly, and he'll be a top candidate to bring the good times back to what is currently a very toxic atmosphere in Norfolk.

The focus for all three aforementioned sides will be to get back to the Premier League. For Norwich, this may take a season or two longer, but with Southampton and Middlesbrough, there'll be hopes that it can happen come May.
If it does, then questions may be asked about how much further the German could take the club, as Farke has one of the worst winning percentages out of any manager in Premier League history, winning just nine of his 60 games in charge in the English top flight.
Ultimately, that's the question which is being asked at Elland Road currently. Farke may have some more time in the bank due to the credit he built up in the Whites' 90 and 100 point Championship campaigns, but if a change does get made, will those in need of a manager in the second tier be hesitant to hire him?
Logically, they shouldn't. If Farke is good at getting teams out of the Championship, then bringing him in to do just that seems a no-brainer. Then, they can cross the Premier League bridge when they get there.
All this does depend on whether Leeds do part ways with their manager, though, which at this current time doesn't look too likely.
But anything can happen in football, and perhaps Championship sides should hold back on a managerial appointment for at least a few more days in case Farke becomes available.
