Liverpool are eyeing up changes in the wide positions ahead of the summer transfer window.
Cody Gakpo has endured another underwhelming season and his main competition - Rio Ngumoha - is only 17. On the right side the club will be saying goodbye to Mohamed Salah - who has reached an agreement to rip up his £400k per week contract a year early.
It means Liverpool will be searching for a new starting right winger - with the likes of Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola linked.
Alexander Isak - who has only scored four times throughout an injury-hit campaign - will require service as Richard Hughes seeks a return on his £125m investment.
And one player who could be coming to the supply line is another RB Leipzig attacker in the shape of Antonio Nusa.
That’s according to a report in the iPaper which claims the Norway sensation is being looked at as an alternative to the more expensive Diomande.
“Liverpool sources insist they retain confidence in Isak – to the extent that their summer transfer plans revolve around signing a right-footed winger who will draw the best out of their record signing,” the report reads.
“Antonio Nusa, who primarily plays on the left, is another on Liverpool’s radar and all would probably give Isak a better chance of returning to the sort of form that persuaded the Reds that they were signing a “sure thing” when they paid Newcastle £125m for him in September.”
