Manchester United shared the spoils with Nottingham Forest after Amad’s late strike rescued a point at the City Ground.
Casemiro had given the visitors the lead in the first half, but goals from Nicolò Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White saw Forest gain the lead within five minutes of the second half before Amad equalized for the visitors.
The result means Ruben Amorim’s side’s unbeaten run has been extended to four games, with the side now sat fifth in the Premier League table. Sean Dyche’s Forest, however, remain in the relegation zone.
Manchester United started on the front foot before stepping off the gas to allow Nottingham Forest to have seven shots, though only one was on target.
Igor Jesus came close to scoring for the home side, but his effort was saved by Senne Lammens. But it was a controversial corner from Bruno Fernandes which led to the visitors’ only goal of the first half, with Casemiro heading home.
United later came close to extending their lead through efforts from Benjamin Šeško and Amad, but were unable to do so.
Forest could have equalized going into half-time after Dan Ndoye hit a strong shot towards Lammens, though the United stopper comfortably dealt with the effort. Alas, it wouldn’t have been given anyway due to Ndoye being in an offside position.
Forest were relentless in the second half after goals from Savona and Gibbs-White came within two minutes of each other.
Despite Manchester United having most of the possession, Forest still looked like a threat in the United half.
Ndoye was the first to be booked by referee Darren England after he dragged down Luke Shaw just past the hour mark.
The home side came close to scoring a third goal after an effort from Callum Hudson-Odoi hit the post.
A stunning strike from Amad late in the second half saw Manchester United score an equalizer and salvage a point.
They did try to make it all three, though, and nearly retook the lead after Matheus Cunha’s effort was saved by Matz Sels. Forest came right back a shot from Elliot Anderson, which was ultimately blocked.
United thought they found the winner in injury time but couldn’t find the back of the net, condemning both sides to a point apiece.
Next up, Manchester United visit Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, November 8 in the Premier League, while Nottingham Forest return to Europa League action on Thursday against Sturm Graz.
