Nottingham Forest announced the signings of Tove Almqvist, Ebba Hed and Issy Hobson just minutes before the closure of the summer transfer window last night.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via a media update from The Tricky Trees.

The East Midlands side had already added Spanish forward Nahikari García to their ranks earlier in the evening and they quickly followed the deal up by announcing the signatures of midfielder Almqvist and defenders Hed and Hobson.

Almqvist joins Nottingham Forest from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Djurgården IF and she has signed a three-year deal Trentside. She has spent her entire career to date playing in Sweden in spells with Linköping FC, Vittsjö GIK and Djurgårdens IF.

Hed also joins Nottingham Forest from Djurgården IF on a three-year deal. She has turned out for IS Halmia, Vittsjö GIK, Madrid CFF and Djurgården IF.

Youngster Hobson joins Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal from Everton. The player has come through The Toffees’ youth ranks and she has been building senior experience over the last couple of seasons. Hobson enjoyed a loan spell at Sheffield United last season.

Nottingham Forest kick-off the new Barclays WSL2 season with a fixture against Newcastle United at The City Ground on Sunday.
