Nottingham Forest have sanctioned Cuiabano’s loan to Vasco da Gama for the remainder of the calendar year, after the Premier League winter window closed. The Brazilian side hold an option to make the move permanent, with a contract until 2030 on the cards.
"What made me choose Vasco was the project that was presented to me. My family and I thought about it carefully and we really liked it," he told Vasco’s official website.
"In Brazil, I don't need to adapt. I have many friends here, I played for the Brazilian youth national team. I'm eager to make my debut and feel the energy of the fans."
The 22-year-old returned to Botafogo on loan for the second half of 2025 after signing for Forest last summer. He then linked up briefly with Sean Dyche’s side before heading back to Brazil.
His Forest stint looks set to end without a first-team appearance, although he featured for the Under-21s to maintain fitness. Forest paid around five million pounds to sign him on a four-year deal.
