Nottingham Forest have failed with a bid for FC Porto’s 26-year-old Brazilian winger Galeno, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Forest are pushing ahead to add more attackers to their squad with three weeks left in the transfer window and recently saw a move for Tallares’ Ramon Sosa stall.
Galeno has been on Nottingham Forest’s radar this summer and the club have been putting down the groundwork on a deal to sign him.
Talks have also been ongoing between the two clubs as Nottingham Forest push to secure a deal for the signature of Galeno.
However, it has been claimed that Porto rejected their opening bid for the Brazilian winger for a move this summer.
The figures associated with the bid are unclear but it is short of Porto’s €40m asking price for the wide-man.
The Midlands club are expected to go back to the drawing board and work on a new bid for Galeno.
The Brazilian winger has also been on the radar of Juventus but they are focusing on a deal to sign Fiorentina’s Nicolas Gonzalez.
