Nottingham Forest have received an injury lift for this afternoon’s trip to Manchester United, with Morgan Gibbs-White back in the XI and Ibrahim Sangare among the substitutes. According to Nottingham Post, winger Dan Ndoye also trained this week after a lay-off.
The Reds head to Old Trafford for a 12.30pm kick-off already safe, their top-flight status sealed by last weekend’s draw with Newcastle and West Ham’s defeat to Arsenal. They are eight unbeaten and chasing a strong finish.
Injuries have bitten in recent weeks and Vitor Pereira ruled centre-back Murillo and full-back Ola Aina out on Thursday.
Gibbs-White features for the first time since the 3-1 win at Chelsea, when he suffered a nasty facial wound that needed stitches. He will play in a protective mask.
Pereira makes three changes from last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle, with Gibbs-White, Omari Hutchinson and Chris Wood in for Jair Cunha, Taiwo Awoniyi and Dilane Bakwa.
The back four is Neco Williams, Nikola Milenkovic, Morato and Luca Netz, with Nicolas Dominguez and Elliot Anderson in midfield. Hutchinson, Igor Jesus and Gibbs-White support lone striker Wood.
