Nottingham Forest are exploring a move to reunite head coach Vitor Pereira with Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Marshall Munetsi, with Foot Mercato reporting that talks have taken place over a potential switch.

The 29-year-old is spending the second half of the campaign at Paris FC and his next step is unclear. The report adds the player currently prefers to remain in Paris, and that no discussions have yet been held with his loan club.

Munetsi moved to Molineux from Reims in February 2025 and is under contract until 2028. During his loan he has made 13 appearances, including nine starts, and scored four Ligue 1 goals.

Pereira worked with the Zimbabwe international during his time in charge at Wolves. He previously said: "Munetsi is like an animal. Running and running and running, I know what I can expect from him. Very honest player."

Forest plan to review midfield options this summer. England international Elliot Anderson is expected to attract interest, leaving the Reds almost certainly needing a replacement.

Attention first remains on survival and Europe. Pereira’s side are five points clear of the bottom three with four games remaining, and host Aston Villa on Thursday in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.
