Nottingham Forest on fourth manager this season as Sean Dyche sacked | OneFootball

Sean Dyche's reign as manager of Nottingham Forest has come to an end after only 114 days in charge.

The club confirmed the 54-year-old's exit three hours after drawing bottom-side Wolves 0-0 late on Wednesday evening.

Dyche had reportedly been under pressure at Forest following last week's 3-1 defeat to Leeds. Wednesday's performance, which included 35 shots but no goals, proved to be the final straw.

"Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach," read the official statement.

"We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time."

Dyche was initially hired in October 2025, following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou, who lasted only 39 days at the helm. Nuno Espirito Santo was the manager to kick off the 2025/26 campaign, meaning Forest will now be on their fourth manager this season.

Despite Dyche winning seven of his first 12 games in charge, he departs with Forest sitting 17th in the table and three points above the relegation zone.

Wednesday proved a day of decision-making for clubs across the Premier League, with Tottenham also announcing the departure of Thomas Frank.
