Nottingham Forest fell at the first Carabao Cup hurdle, beaten 2-0 by Leeds United at the City Ground. It followed Saturday’s 1-0 league loss to the same opponents.

Forest started brightly, with Ola Aina almost scoring from a miscued cross and Igor Jesus seeing a header cleared off the line. Nottingham Post reports Arnaud Kalimuendo was the standout with 7/10 as several team-mates struggled.

Wood was marked 5 and Igor Jesus 5, while Kalimuendo impressed for 7. From the bench, Murillo, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Dan Ndoye, Luca Netz and Omari Hutchinson all scored 6, with Netz lively.
