Jan Ziolkowski is close to leaving Roma.
The Polish defender, who arrived last summer from Legia Warsaw for just €6 million, is highly sought after by English club Nottingham Forest, a semi-finalist in last season’s Europa League.
According to Siamolaroma.it, the club managed by Lina Souloukou appears willing to offer a fee approaching €20 million, thus meeting Roma’s demands.
By doing so, the Trigoria club would make a resounding capital gain, considering the money invested twelve months ago and the very limited playing time Ziolkowski earned for the Giallorossi last season.
Contacts are expected in the coming hours between the Pole’s agents and Nottingham to try to reach an agreement that satisfies all parties, including Roma.
A substantial sum of money must be raised by June 30th to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play agreements, and Ziolkowski could be one of the “expendable” players.
