Nottingham Forest have sacked Vitor Pereira after a four-month spell, the Premier League side finishing 16th following a near-relegation campaign.
The club triggered a unilateral termination clause that ran until 30 June, informing the Portuguese at 23:58 on Tuesday 30 June. The Telegraph reports that Marinakis delivered the decision by email.
Pereira departs with eight wins, six draws and six defeats. He was the fifth head coach to work under Marinakis during the 2025/26 season.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Austrian Oliver Glasner, formerly of Crystal Palace, will coach the team in the 2026/27 season.
Pereira led Corinthians in 2022 and declined a renewal citing family reasons. Flamengo hired him for 2023, but dismissed him after a 4-1 defeat to Fluminense in the Campeonato Carioca final.
Flamengo then appointed Jorge Sampaoli, later replacing him with Tite. Filipe Luís and Leonardo Jardim completed that managerial sequence.
