WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Tricky Trees just a short time ago.
The 20-year-old is a product of the Chelsea academy system and she has already featured in some first team matchday squads. The player has just signed a new three-year deal with The Blues.
Cox has also furthered her development in a loan spell at Aberdeen.
On the international stage, Cox has represented England up to and including Under-23 level.
After joining Nottingham Forest on loan, Cox said “From speaking to the coaches and the players, I can only think of good reasons of coming here. I wanted to play under a coach that knows what he wants and gets the best out of the players. This is a really ambitious club, you can see that through its winning history, and I wanted to be a part of it.
“I’m always excited to meet the other goalkeepers and learn from them, acting as a sponge. As a player, you can expect to hear me before you see me on the pitch. I’m a loud character and I like to have a presence on the pitch, to come for crosses, to sweep up the space in behind, and I’m composed in possession.
“I had a really good tour, the stadium is lovely and I learned more about the history of the Club. I’m super-excited to be out there, hopefully we can get it filled out with fans.”
Cox is Nottingham Forest’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
