Nottingham Forest sign Juventus midfielder in £25m deal

Nottingham Forest have signed Douglas Luiz from Juventus on an initial loan-to-buy deal with a potential obligation to buy for a reported fee of £25m.

The 27-year-old struggled to make an impact at Juventus after signing for the Serie A side on a £43m, five-year deal from Aston Villa last summer, making just three league starts.

Luiz previously made over 200 appearances in all competitions for Villa following his 2019 transfer from Man City.

Nuno Espirito Santo's Forest have had a busy summer so far, with Luiz joining fellow new arrivals Igor Jesus, Jair Cunha, Dan Ndoye, Angus Gunn, Omari Hutchinson, James McAtee, and Arnaud Kalimuendo at the City Ground.
